How to use the Unicorn Portable Electric Dab Rig

This is the next generation of dab rigs, it's quick and easy to use, you don’t need any torch or heating devices as it's all built-in. Here we give you a quick overview of how to use and maintain your Unicorn electric dab rig.

How to use.

The Lookah Unicorn comes with two types of coil. The quartz hive coil and the quartz cup coil. 

The quartz hive coil is better for the manual mode. 

The quartz cup coil is better for auto-mode

• Lift the magnetic top from the base, add a small amount of the concentrate into the heating chamber/coil. 

Note: Take care not to overload as this will restrict the airflow and waste your concentrate. A microdose of 0.1-0.2g is plenty.

• Add a small amount of water to the glass chamber, just enough to cover the percolation holes. 
• Replace the magnetic top, line up the Lookah wording with the power button, ensuring it is correctly in place. 
• You can insert the silicone mouthpiece into the top of the glass to reduce any chance of splashback (optional).
• Press the On/Off Power button 5 times quickly within 2 seconds to turn on the device. The indicator LED will flash 3 times, and the device will vibrate. 
• Set the temperature:

Press the power button 2 times within 1 second to cycle through the different temperatures. 

Level 1 - Low, 10W (Green)

Level 2 - Medium, 16W (Blue)

Level 3 - High, 19W (White)

Manual Mode

This is best with the quartz hive coil. 

• Once the temperature has been selected, press and holds the power button to use. 

Note: With the first hit of a session, please hold the button for 5-10 seconds for the coil to heat up and start vaporizing the concentrate before inhaling from the mouthpiece. 

The maximum you can hold the power button for in one use is 60 seconds.

Auto Mode

This is best with the quartz cup coil. 

• Once the temperature has been selected, press the power button 3 times within 1.2 seconds to start. The indicator light will flash the color of the set temperature, and the device will vibrate twice to indicate the preheating is in progress. Preheat time is 30-60 seconds. 
• Once the preheating has finished, the device will vibrate, and the indicator light will remain on. The device will maintain the set temperature for 60 seconds.
• You can now start to inhale the vapor from the mouthpiece.  
• During auto mode, hold the power button for 3 seconds to stop heating and return to manual mode. 

After using the device, please allow a few moments for it to cool down, then remove the magnetic top and wipe away any excess residue with a q-tip. 

Please clean the device with the brush provided between uses to ensure unrestricted airflow for the best experience. 

How to clean the Unicorn.

How to clean the base unit.

The Unicorn comes with a small cleaning brush. 

This can be used to clean any residue or blockages in the airways in the Unicorn.

• Lift the magnetic top from the base.
• Locate the 2 airway holes in the base of the Unicorn.
• Insert and twist the cleaning brush into the holes to clean
• If residue is hard to clean, try applying a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to the cleaning brush. 

How to clean the glass.

The Unicorn glass can be cleaned like any other glass percolator.  

• Remove the glass top from the base of the unit. 
• Remove the glass from the magnetic ring.
• With your hand, cover the holes at the bottom of the percolator.
• Add a little isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt into the percolator through the hole at the top. 
• Cover the top of the percolator and shake well for 5 - 10 minutes.
• If there is hard to remove residue, you can soak the percolator in hot water or isopropyl alcohol. 
• Pour out the salt and isopropyl alcohol.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water. 

Note, when replacing the glass please make sure that hole B on the glass lines up with the groove in the magnetic ring. This allows for maximum airflow, you can adjust the airflow by twisting the glass around in the magnetic ring

The difference between the Lookah Unicorn Coils.

The Lookah Unicorn e-rig comes with two types of coil. The quartz hive coil and the quartz cup coil. 

The quartz hive coil is better for use in manual mode. 

The quartz cup coil is better for use in auto mode. 

When you want to change the coil, unscrew it (counter-clockwise), a new coil can be screwed in (clockwise). 

The dish on the quartz cup coil can be replaced. 

• Remove the coil from the Unicorn vaporizer. 
• Unscrew the top of the coil ( the top 1 or 2 mm).
• Remove the quartz bucket from the coil. 
• Screw to top back onto the coil.
