What Happens if You Lick Wax from a Cart?

cannabis wax or oil is usuallys consumed by vaping, but what about eating it, just like edibles?
sometimes your battery is broken or out of power but there are still some wax or oils in the cart. so you open the cart and lick the wax off, what happens?
Eating cannabis wax isn’t the same as eating an edible; in fact, it’s a very different thing.
Before considering licking some cannabis wax from a cart, it's a good idea to know some of the science behind consuming cannabis.
What is Marijuana Wax?

A marijuana wax is a highly potent THC concentrated mass With a distinctive bright yellow color, that looks like wax. For that reason, it's often called “wax” on the street.
The wax extraction process often uses Solvents like butane, isopropyl, or CO2 to pull the terpenes and cannabinoids from the cannabis plants. Trpically, Should be dividing them into 3 categories: Distillate, Resin and then Solventless.
marijuana wax has a higher concentration of THC than most marijuana products, ranging from 50 to 90 percent THC amounts.
This form of marijuana can be up to four times stronger in THC content than high grade or top shelf marijuana flower, which normally measures around 20 percent THC levels.
THC is the principal psychoactive constituent in cannabis. When you consume THC oil or wax, it may alter your mood, leading to feelings of euphoria, relaxation, or, in some cases, heightened anxiety or paranoia- OverConsumption.
What Happens if You Lick Wax from a Cart?
Technically, you can lick and ingest the wax or oil from a cart, but whether it will get you high depends on the oil ot wax type. Let me explain.
Most THC carts come with a distillate oil or wax that has already been decarboxylated, meaning that the THC in it has been activated beforehand and is able to produce the psychoactive effects.
When you ingest weed oil or wax, it travels to your stomach and then your liver before going into your bloodstream and brain. The liver converts THC into a stronger form, which combines with the THC from the original product to increase the intensity of the high.
If you lick and ingest the distillate oil or wax, it will likely get you very high because it’s highly THC concentrated. However, You would also get upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, and more severe symptoms such as drowsiness, confusion, hallucinations, and paranoia.
The effects can vary greatly depending on the individual’s tolerance, the potency of the THC oil or wax, and the dose consumed.
Generally, Eating wax or oil take longer than vaping to kick in — typically around 30 to 60 minutes. And it can last 6 or more hours, with the strongest effects occurring about 3 hours.
On the other hand, Some vape carts come with a live resin oil or wax that has not been decarboxylated and only gets activated when exposed to the temperature of the vaporizer.
For reference, decarboxylation is the process where the cannabinoids get activated when exposed to heat. When you heat or vaporize the resins, the heat turns the THCa into THC, which is what gets you high.
So, if you lick and ingest cannabis oil or Wax that has not been decarboxylated, you’re unlikely to feel any significant effects, and it would be a waste of product.
Is Cnanabis Wax or Oil Safe to Eat?
Licking the wax or oil from a cartridge is not advisable for a few reasons:
Contaminants: The wax or oil could contain harmful chemicals, solvents, or impurities from the extraction process that are not meant to be ingested. These could cause adverse health effects.
Shady vaping products are not safe and shouldn’t be consumed in any way, whether eaten or vaped. Therefore, you always want to make sure that you’re buying high-quality THC oil or wax and nothing less than.
Not Intended for Consumption: The wax or oil is typically meant to be vaporized, not ingested directly.
As I said, distillate THC oil or wax is already activated, so you don’t need to do anything, but if dealing with any other type of THC oil, you’ll definitely need to decarboxylate it, otherwise, you’ll be wasting it.
To create THC from THC-A, the Cannabis wax or oil must be heated. Baking would be the best way.
Bad taste: many users have reported that it tastes disgusting and that they could feel it on their tongue for long afterward.
THC Overdose: The wax or oil product has a high THC concentration, licking it could result in an unintended and potentially overwhelming dose of THC.
This could lead to anxiety, dizziness, or other unpleasant effects, especially if you're not accustomed to high doses. A little can go a long way.
If you ingest it, use the smallest amount and wait for 1-2 hours before taking more so you don’t get yourself higher than a kite and experience side effects.
