How to Clean a Silicone Nectar Collector?

Step 1: Disassemble the Kit

Take apart your nectar collectors to access all the pieces, especially the nail, which requires special attention.

Step 2: Prepare the Cleaning Solution

Mix isopropyl alcohol and salt in a container. Stir well and pour some salt through hard-to-reach areas.

Step 3: Soak the Parts

Submerge the silicone parts in the solution for 30-60 minutes, or overnight for best results. This helps loosen stubborn resin.

Step 4: Rinse with Water

Use room-temperature water to rinse off the solution, assessing the cleanliness. Use Q-tips or pipe cleaners to remove excess resin if needed.

Step 5: Scrub Tough Spots

Gently use pipe cleaners or Q-tips to remove any remaining residue or particulate.

Step 6: Final Rinse and Dry

Thoroughly rinse with water to remove all alcohol and let the pieces dry completely to avoid water damage or inhalation of harmful fumes.

Step 7: Reassemble

Once dry, put your nectar collector back together and enjoy your dabbing sessions.

Step 8: Cleaning the Nail

Depending on the nail type (titanium, ceramic, or quartz), use appropriate cleaning methods. Titanium nails may require natural cleaning or burning to avoid damaging the coating. Cleaning solutions work well for ceramic and quartz nails.
