How To Clean Glass Nectar Collector?

Step 1: Initial Rinse

Disassembling your nectar collector. Start by rinsing your nectar collector under the faucet to remove loose debris. 

This step helps to clear the way for a more effective deep clean.

Step 2: Soaking

Fill a large plastic bag with isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher is recommended) and coarse salt, or use a commercial cleaning solution. 

Submerge your nectar collector in this mixture and let it soak for an extended period. The longer it soaks, the easier it will be to remove the resin buildup.

Step 3: Cleaning

After soaking, use Q-tips, pipe cleaners, or a paperclip to scrape away the resin and tar from the inside of the nectar collector. 

The alcohol will have loosened the buildup, making it easier to remove. Rinse the nectar collector as needed to wash away the loosened residue.

Step 4: Alternative Cleaning Methods (Vinegar and Baking Soda)

While isopropyl alcohol is the most recommended cleaning agent, vinegar and baking soda are viable alternatives. 

However, they may leave a residue, so it’s essential to rinse thoroughly after cleaning. Always consult your product manual for safe cleaning methods for your specific nectar collector.

Step 5: Rinsing and Drying the Parts

After cleaning, it’s crucial to thoroughly rinse the nectar collector under running water to remove all traces of alcohol, salt, or any other cleaning agents. 

Once rinsed, allow the nectar collector to air dry completely on a towel or paper towel. 

Ensuring it’s dry before use will prevent water from diluting your concentrates and affecting the smoking experience.
